Belgian Quad with Oak Chips

It’s time to ramp up the gravity, brew a strong Belgian ale, and age it with oak chips. Here’s how we got on.

Recipe for 5 gallons:

15.5 lbs 2-Row Belgian Pale Malt
20 oz Aromatic Malt
5 oz Caramel 20
5 oz CaraMunich II
5 oz Special B
1 lb Candi Sugar

Mash: 148F for 90 mins

1.25 oz Sterling (60 mins)
0.25 oz Sterling (30 mins)
0.75 oz Sterling (0 mins)

2oz Whiskey Barrel Oak Chips
