Brewing beer at home doesn’t take too much equipment. Fancy gear can make homebrewing easier, but if you’re just starting, don’t overthink the basics of home-brewed, craft beer.
Basic process:
1. Mash: a hot water batch for grain
2. Lauter: Separates the sugary liquid, called “wort”
3. Boil Sanitizes and prepares the wort for fermentation
4. Ferment: Added yeast turns wort into beer
