Flower Power (w/ Galaxy Hops) | Ithaca Beer Company | Beer Review | #629

Today, I’ll be reviewing a beer from the Ithaca Beer Company, and it’s their Flower Power (w/ Galaxy Hops), which is an American IPA that is brewed with Galaxy hops. I love the regular Flower Power, and this beer adds Galaxy hops in the boil and to the dry-hopping portions of the brewing process, so let’s see if this beers improves upon a classic!

Commercial Description:

We brewed this special limited variation of our celebrated Flower Power IPA with an addition of Australian Galaxy hops to introduce an intense passion fruit and citrus character. Already well known for its punchy pineapple, citrus, floral flavor and aromas, as well as clover honey sweetness, this variation of Flower Power is complimented and accentuated by the Galaxy’s hop unique qualities.

Galaxy hops are limited in availability here in the United States as they are grown in the Australian state of Tasmania and are sought to impart passion fruit, citrus zest, peach/stone fruit flavors.
