IPA Beer Bread Recipe

Equipment
Looking for a beer bread recipe then try out this one that uses a hazy IPA as the beer and after 2 proofs the bread will be ready to enjoy with any soup or dish you are making.
This bread has a great crust, which comes from using a steam tray while baking.

Ingredient:
1 packet active dry yeast
1/2 cup flour (80 g)
1/2 warm water (116 mL)
A 12 oz can of beer (I used a hazy IPA)
4 cups all purpose flour (700 g)
Salt to taste

Recipe:
Active the yeast by hydrating with the water and flour. Allow to sit for 30 minutes then added the can of beer and the flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms and then knead. Allow to proof for 2-3 hours in a water spot in the house, such as in a oven with the light on or in a warm window. Then shaped the dough into the desired shape. I made mine like a football. And proof for 30-40 minutes. Preheat the oven at 425F and fill a baking sheet with water to make a steam bath. After the second proof score the dough on the top with sharp knife and bake for 45 minutes. The dough will be done when it sounds hollow (tap the bottom and listen to your dough). Remove from oven and allow to cool before slicing.
