Improving a beer kit in 2021 – Simple tips to make better beer – Hop & Yeast experiment

Beer Kit
So, having done beer from a one tin kit before and being nothing but disappointed with the results, Penny has taken it upon himself to try and make one better and see if he can make a kit beer that I will enjoy

He started off with a Mangrove Jacks New Zealand Brewers Series Pale Ale ( https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/mangrove-jacks-new-zealand-brewers-series-pale-ale/ ). Half of the beer was just left as is, and the other half he used a packet of Mangrove Jack’s Hophead Ale M66 Yeast ( https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/mangrove-jacks-hophead-ale-m66-yeast/ ) and also added 50g of Idaho 7 Hops in to the fermenter a few days in.

It really turned out pretty good in the end for a kit beer, but if you’ve got an all grain setup then it’s probably not something I’d suggest going out of your way to do again. Just stick to the AG Batches!
