The latest cross-industry collaboration in the Two Worlds Collide series, once again brings together Mudgee’s Three Tails Brewery and the Robert Stein Winery.
The third beer in the series is a fusion on Stein’s 2025 Cabernet grapes and Three Tails’ Enigma hops to create a Rosé Lager that marries craft beer with winemaking finesse.
Three Tails Brewery co-owner, Mick Ash, said: “As our winemaker friends’ old saying goes: ‘it takes a lot of great beer to make great wine’ – so why not join them?
“The latest Two Worlds Collide brew is everything we love about our collaboration beers with the Stein family – a crisp, refreshing lager that perfectly showcases their award-winning grapes and our passion for making boutique beer.
“These collaborations have become some of our most popular and favourite beers to produce – we get to partner with likeminded Mudgee businesses and expand our knowledge, experience and creativity.”
The beer is described as “pink and bubbly, with just the right amount of sweetness”, with tasting notes saying “expect delicate notes of berries and sweet flowers, as the juice from the Cabernet grapes combines with the Enigma hops to create a unique and delightful blend”.
Building on the success of previous brews, a Cabernet Stout and a Shiraz barrel-aged lager, the latest offering once again challenges the boundaries between beer and wine, aiming to capture the palates of drinkers who crave hybrid flavour profiles and category-bending creativity.
Robert Stein Winery Winemaker Jacob Stein said: “We always look forward to working with our mates at Three Tails. It’s a good excuse to try something a bit different and have some fun with it.
“This Rosé Lager is one of those times where the experiment actually worked. We’ve landed on a fresh, vibrant drink that’s a whole lot of fun – we can’t wait to get it out there and see what people think.”
The Two Worlds Collide Rosé Lager is available at Three Tails Brewery, Robert Stein Winery and select Central West NSW suppliers.
