Coopers Brewery is expanding its homebrew offering beyond traditional beer with the release of two new homebrew kits – Ginger Beer and Apple Cider.
The sixth-generation Australian brewery, long celebrated for its ales, lagers and stout, has broadened its DIY extract range in response to growing demand for more variety among cost-conscious homebrewers. The move gives brewing enthusiasts greater flexibility for all occasions, using Coopers’ trusted format.
“You can now brew a great tasting Coopers Ginger Beer and Apple Cider at home for less than $1 a stubbie,” says Coopers Brewing’s Products Marketing Manager Scott Harris.
“Ginger beer is one of the strongest growing drink styles in Australia with consumption having tripled in size over the past five years, while apple is the most popular flavour among cider drinkers.”
With the option to be made with either a 3.5 per cent ABV or non-alcoholic, Coopers DIY Ginger Beer is a traditional-style ginger beer with tangy spices and a refreshing kick. Meanwhile, Coopers DIY Apple Cider has an ABV of 3.5 per cent, with fresh apple flavours and aromas.
“Australian-made with all natural flavours, our DIY Ginger Beer and Apple Cider are sure to appeal to existing and first-time brewers. Like all Coopers DIY Beer, both are very easy to brew. Just mix, brew, bottle and enjoy,” Harris added.
“It can also be five times cheaper to brew at home. So, at a time when household budgets are squeezed, there’s now more options to enjoy great tasting drinks and save money.”
Both extracts are now available in 500-gram pouch-style packs and can be brewed in any Coopers DIY Beer kits. Making 10-litres, both are ready to drink within three weeks of primary fermentation.
